Under the visionary direction of avant-gardist industrial designer Floris Jonker Roelants, and the architectural supervision of Peter Reindl | PR Architects & Designers, the task was to reimagine a traditional gulet—a classic Turkish sailing vessel—into a contemporary yacht experience defined by sophistication, comfort, and modern design language.
Gulets, renowned for their handcrafted timber construction and the artisanal expertise of Turkish shipbuilders, possess a timeless maritime character. Traditionally known as motor sailors, these vessels are prized for their spaciousness, stability, and leisurely performance—ideal for extended voyages across open waters or serene cruises along the coastline.
The design challenge was to honor the gulet’s seafaring heritage while redefining its identity for today’s luxury standards. The result is a seamless fusion of nautical tradition and avant-garde design: a vessel that feels both authentically handcrafted and contemporary in aesthetic. Every detail, from the elegant exterior silhouette to the curated interior materials, reflects a commitment to comfort, functionality, and visual harmony.
This gulet transformation stands as a testament to design innovation at sea—where heritage meets modernity, and where every voyage becomes an expression of style, serenity, and spatial intelligence.
