A modern, minimalist villa envisioned by PR Architects & Designers in collaboration with industrial designer Floris Jonker Roelants. Expansive glass surfaces define the architecture, flooding the interior with natural light and creating a seamless dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces. The design thoughtfully integrates the original structure, preserving classical elements while reinterpreting them through a contemporary, forward-looking lens.
The new extension distinguishes itself with a bold, minimalist aesthetic rooted in deconstructivist principles. Referencing the architecture of Roman temples, the design innovatively reimagines and deconstructs traditional elements—such as columns rendered in polished marble—that reflect the surrounding landscape and reinforce the villa’s spatial fluidity.
This refined interplay between heritage and innovation results in a residence that pays homage to its historical foundation while projecting a clear, modern vision. Minimal interventions in the entrance area preserve the authentic charm of the 1970s structure, allowing the original character to resonate within the transformed setting.
