The design process for the front desk began with an in-depth exploration of the theme of the eye. The starting point was a hand-drawn sketch in which the characteristic lines and proportions of the human eye were abstracted into a graphical form. This drawing became the foundation for the subsequent digital development.
In the next stage, the sketch was digitized, refined, and transformed into a three-dimensional parametric structure. Using advanced design software, a complex spatial model was generated, capable of being adjusted and varied through a dynamic set of parameters. The result was a sculptural installation derived from the original drawing.
At the client’s request, the concept was later strategically simplified and formally streamlined. The parametric structure was further developed, mathematically reduced, and converted into a clearer and more restrained design. In the final step, the optimized geometry was projected onto a perforated metal sheet using algorithmic design methods, preserving the visual depth and intricacy in a subtle surface texture.
The outcome is a front desk that combines artistic origin, digital transformation, and precise technical execution in a distinctive way.
