Villa Kálmán
A Timeless Revival

PR Architects and Designers
Nestled in Vienna’s storied Cottage Quarter, the historic Villa Kálmán has been reawakened through a masterful bespoke refit and architectural redesign by Peter Reindl and Tayfur Doğan of PR Architects and Designers. Once home to the renowned composer Emmerich Kálmán, this early 20th-century residence—steeped in late Historicist and Jugendstil character—has been respectfully transformed into a dialogue between legacy and modern living.
Every architectural gesture honors the villa’s noble origins: delicately restored stucco façades, finely articulated window frames, and original wrought iron detailing merge effortlessly with understated contemporary interventions. Inside, soaring ceilings and grand salons have been redefined with custom interior elements—bespoke lighting, furniture, and surfaces—crafted to reflect a new era of elegance while preserving the villa’s soul.
Reindl and Doğan’s vision was not merely to renovate, but to curate an experience—where history breathes within a refined spatial narrative. From handcrafted joinery to curated material palettes and precision-engineered detailing, Villa Kálmán emerges as a sanctuary of cultural memory and architectural finesse. It stands today not as a preserved relic, but as a living icon of Viennese sophistication, redesigned for the future with respect, restraint, and rare artistry.
